    3,7 MBPS is complete bullshit. I never see anywhere near those speeds.

    3.7 MBPS maybe. It depends how they calculate it.

    If the rate is close to 10 MBPS at night when most people are off line for 8 hours and the rate is close to 100 KBPS for the other 16 hours. The average would be close to 3.7 MBPS. Don't beat me up on the maths please.

    Figures don't lie but a liar can figure. (as my dear old Mom used to say).

    Nothing here to write home about.

    5 Mbps download speed with Globe here in Dumaguete .... I had 50 Mbps with Comcast while in Florida !

    BTW ... The test below was using a server here in the Philippines ... I also did a speed test using a server in Korea and got about the same download speed (5 Mbps), but my upload speed was decreased down to 1.22 Mbps using the server in Korea.

    Well, when I did that speed test a couple of days ago, I had a download speed of 5.35 Mbps.

    Today my internet is dog slow .... Download speed is now down to 0.23 Mbps.

    What the hell is going on with Globe!

    MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine telecommunications regulator will start implementing a nationwide program next week to monitor and report back to consumers on the quality of Internet service providers' (ISPs) fixed broadband speed, ensuring they are getting the services promised by ISPs.

    "We will ask ISPs and consumer groups to participate in our pilot testing for the minimum fixed broadband speed next week," National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) Director Edgardo Cabarios said in an interview in his office in Quezon City on Friday, September 21.

    This was after NTC signed on August 13, Memorandum Circular No. 07-08-2015, stating that "broadband" for fixed-line services must have data connection speed of at least 256 kilobits per second (kbps) – the standard of the International Telecommunications Union.

    What a load of bollocks! P200 day if drops below 256kbps that's only dial up speed anyway,they want stick a fine of p1000 day to every person who doesn't get what they pay for!
    These big companies who control everything here need stamping on until the people get a fair service and good customer service.
