Hi all,
Please be aware that there may be burglars operating in the Valencia area at the moment.
We disturbed intruders at about 8.45 this evening looking into our bedroom window of our apartment in our gated compound on the highway a kilometre or two up from bubble bees store whilst we were in bed.
The police (Swat) attended but the perpetrators had gone before they arrived.
We did supply a description of the pair to the police.

I'm curious Brendan, how much time elapsed between the time you contacted the police and when they showed up at your location? Did you direct dial to the local police office, or use 911? We have a system similar to the link Wrye83 provided, we have six cameras surrounding our house connected to a central recorder and internet interface. That way we can monitor the cameras remotely on our phone, or during the night use a tablet computer next to our bed. It is recording constantly 24/7 on a one week loop. Still, if burglars break in and do you physical harm it is small comfort to know that you have it recorded. The best thing I can recommend is to stop in and visit your closest police office. That's what we did, we found everyone to be very friendly and helpful, we got to know the in-charge, and they gave us the best numbers to use to reach them.
