Is Naturalization & Natural born a Kind?

    John Jay suggested natural born citizen be written into the Constitution and Pinckney wanted Naturalization.

    What does these words really mean?

    The real meaning is Gone with the Wind...forgotten, buried, denied.

    There’s a few clues.. “Yearnings to be with her own natural kind”. “Were all thy children kind and natural?”

    “Our common kindred” Jefferson

    “our Posterity”

    What it used to mean no longer matters. What matters is how the courts and society interpret the meaning today. Pretty sure these two words/phrases have a pretty solid legal definition in the Constitution and laws in both the US and the Philippines.

    The Old English word Gecynde meant Natural. UnGecynde meant Unnatural.

    My guess...immigrants and citizens must be the same kindred and natural kind.

    UnKindred immigrants and citizens would be denaturalization.

    Are Chinese/Filipinos the same kindred and natural kind?

    Is Obama the same kindred and natural kind?

    A homogeneous society would be maintained by Naturalization and heterogeneous society would be denaturalization.

    I don’t imagine Pinckney wanted a heterogeneous society.

    Legally speaking, yes, they are.

    Absolutely. Enough of that nonsense.

    Don't know who he is or what he he thought. His interpretation of the laws are completely irrelevant.

    Born the same natural kind and kindred is natural born.

    The stuff they sell today must be way better than the 60’s stuff they had when I was in school. Maybe this guy is from Canada or one of the 16 US states where it is legal for recreational use. On my next trip back to NC, maybe I will schedule some extra time during my stopover in LA and “denaturalize” :-)
