Is Spirometry / Lung Function Testing available anywhere in Dumaguete?

Hi Everyone. I am new to the forum. Actually, I am living in Dipolog City, Zanorte. Diagnosed with COPD, my pulmonologist here requests that I have a Lung/Pulmonary Function Test performed, specifically a simple 10 minute spirometry test. The problem is that he does not know where the closest clinic/hospital is to Dipolog. Being that Dumaguete is a much larger and more "advanced" city, relatively speaking, than Dipolog, I presumed that there would be a facility here that would have the basic equipment and training to perform this simple procedure (Holy Child or Silliman Pulmonary Departments, or an independent diagnostic clinic?). Many phone calls trying to get info, but apparently I am not getting to the right people. I thought I was talking to someone in the Pulmonary Department at Silliman, but the girl asked, "Spirometry test? That has something to do with the eyes, right?". I told her no, that it had to do with the lungs. Then she tells me that no, there is no place in Dumaguete that offers this type of testing.
My question is: Do I accept this girl's assessment as the final correct answer? Has anyone had experience with a spirometry test in Dumaguete? Is there one clinic in the entire city that has a simple spirometer?
Help would be greatly appreciated. Dumaguete is a short 3 or 4 hour ferry trip from Dipolog. Cebu, on the other hand, is 12 hours, one way. I found answers easier to come by in Cebu, and know where to go there, numerous places, for testing. But I would much prefer to be able to get this done in Dumaguete, and spare the long trip to Cebu.
    I appreciate any help.

    Dumaguete is a small town

Search for pulmonolgists on google: dumaguete & pulmonologist. Lacking that find an internal medicine doc here and call their office directly. Do they even have a pulmonary dept at silliman??? Lacking that you will have to find the nearest larger city and go there. Not familiar with that particular test but docs often prescribe tests that either a) have not treatment even if they are positive or b) are just a way of running up your bill. Not saying that's the case in your case, just saying in general.

The testing is available at Holy Child and Silliman. You will need your doctor's order and you will need to have an appointment set for the test.. You can see Dr. Caesar Ligo (pulmonologist) at Holy Child Mon-Fri until noon (I would verify these days with Holy Child), or Tues and Thurs 2:30-5:00 at Silliman (this is where/when I we go to see him). I will be happy to assist you in setting up appointments, just p.m. me.

Hallo @Que, Did you have any results regarding the lung test? By Siliman I was told that they don't have the facility and they did not know or they have it in Holy Child. I ask you cause I'm sick from talking to this" I don't knows". The front desk in Siliman send me to the lab who send me to emergency where after talking to three persons an other one showed up and told me "no we don't have and I don't know where"
I got the impression that they did not even know that such a test exist..

Cannot answer the question but here is the office landline number of a pulmonologist at Silliman, Dr. Bobbin-Sy. The doctor arrives weekdays after 11 a.m. but his receptionist will know the answer. I have never heard spirometry mentioned, so I expect you will have to go to Cebu. (35)-420-2116.

    Thank you Jim,

I know Dr Sy and now that I have the office nr. it's maybe easier (? ) to get an appointment.
Hate to go to Chabu ( like we called it in the old days) so tomorrow in town I will ask by Holy Child.
I had the test done in Cebu doctors 20 years ago for P700 but that do'sn't excist anymore,( the hospital and this price).
