⌛ Is there a "weights and measures" department here?

Another one of my "just curious" questions.
Is there any department that checks gas pumps for accuracy here?
For no reason, I always check the milage on my motor.
Three tanks ago, it got 110 miles per gallon. That seems about right.
Two tanks ago, it got 84 miles per gallon.
Today I filled up and it got 133 miles per gallon.
My driving is almost always the same, so it's not me.
The motor is well tuned, so it's not the motor.
I have a locking gas cap, so nobody is stealing it.
That leaves only pump variation.
Obviously, I will keep going back to the station and pump that I filled at today. I think it's reading low.

 

Go to the station with the pump that you get the most gas mileage! Problem solved!

I'm sure if you asked 10 locals at least 8 of them would tell you that. :D

 

Oh yes....... Yesterday I was down to maybe 3 liters in a 15 liter tank and it took only 7.7 liters. It is a Petron down the road from me and I know which pump it is. They've got my business.........
