This is EXACTLY what I witnessed here, and I felt it was disgusting to watch people bragging how much they received when they were not even from the area that the goods were being distributed from, then to see so many online for Sale afterwards, then to rub salt into the wounds, the Government here stepped in and took money that the PUBLIC Donated towards the Cyclone damage in our North and diverted that elsewhere, then did much the same when they took major control of donations for the Flood effort. Much of it was never seen again nor was it passed onto those who needed it the most.

Don't even get me started with the Insurance Companies and their fancy wording to skip paying out well deserved claims, and the fiasco of the Wivenhoe Dam to which I was privy to private messages in regards to the scramble for liquid Gold instead of opening floodgates well in advance to alleviate a lot of the flooding that never needed to happen, as Wivenhoe Dams original conception was for Flood Mitigation, NEVER meant to be a source of Revenue for selling Water to the Public! There was a REAL Danger that the Dam Wall could collapse and messages were being sent every 30 minutes updating a certain leader here in QLD of the threat yet not a single member of the Public were told of the concerns which could have potentially wiped out much of SE QLD.

Authorities are always going to be the same no matter where they hail from, Greed will become the first and foremost factor over concern for the Public, what comes after will only be to benefit those from the top down, meaning those who need the help the most will be the last standing inline to collect what little remains... :(

My young friend in Leyte is still living in a Tent with her Husband and Baby which was born after the Typhoon, they still go to sleep hungry at night, their Baby is ill yet they are being charged thru the nose for Medical Tests and Medicine, it seems as if they have been forgotten along with so many, I help her when I am able, but HOW MANY MORE just like HER are there desperate to see some of these donations given? I am POSITIVE she is not alone!
