Rye, what you will never get from me here is insults. This is not the place for that. Just pointing out that your views are probably at the extreme opposite end to others here and as I said, that's your prerogative. I just hope that you are never in a situation of requiring the help of others, which I can read is something that you feel will never be the case. We all think that when we're younger. Stay safe.
I am so sick of all this Covid19 , I could just . I am one of the old folks and the common cold could just as easily kill me as the North Vietnamese in 1966. But at 18 & 19 I was bullet proof. Now at 73 I have chronic coronary heart disease, diabetes and a host of other life threatening elements. On the out side I look quite well. When I get this Covid19 (notice I said WHEN)it will bring all my troubles to a quick END. Would I like to live longer, sure just as long the quality of life, is still in me. Do I fear death, HeII no, why you may ask. Because I have absolutely no control over when or where this old men will no longer get any OLDER. So covid19 can kiss my ey old . My 5centavos.
Simply because then you would maybe realise that you can't survive on your own. I don't think I know anyone who GENUINELY cares nothing about anyone else, but if that's you, I'm fine with it. Don't need to have a protracted analysis.
I don't know where you got this from, I never said or suggested such a thing. What? I never said this either. You, and many others here, are adding your own narratives to my words, taking nearly everything out of context and ignoring the main points, questions and request for information I have posted just to massage your own fears, biases and beliefs. No matter, now that I see that nobody here can provide any new useful, logical, fact and statistical based information I'll go back to largely ignoring any COVID-19 topic posts made here.
Maybe not such a quick end, but days' experience of drowning. Better to die of heart failure in my sleep, in my opinion.
This is exactly what happens every time. You state, or anyone else states, they do not fear COVID and suddenly you don't care about people. It is the absurd reflex emotional response that is such a boring and completely incorrect narrative. If you, or many of the other people that don't fear COVID, heard of one of these 60 plus ladies and gentlemen needing something, you'd be the first to help, whereas they are just going to say "I told you so!" if you catch the disease. For my part, I really appreciate the material and actual help you've given me as a member and I'll forever more look at the words of a few of the members as meaningless. Thank you @Rye83 .
Rye, perhaps I and others here (a number who seem to agree with my words) have taken your comments out of context. If you read my words carefully you will note that I've never said that your view is wrong, simply that it differs from others here. The words projected a view that so long as you are OK, then why should you care. I've read into similar sentiments from your comments in at least one other topic post (before you ask, no I can't remember which one), maybe again wrongly, but that was the impression projected. That's one of the issues when reading words without face to face visibility. I haven't condemned that view (whether correct or not) - not my place to do - just giving another view. Maybe like you, I'm not really bothered whether others agree with my comments or not. One thing I can assure of, my response is not an emotionally based one, as that's not my nature. This also has nothing to do with whether or not you are a Moderator in the Forum. I'm assuming your views are personal and that's the capacity that you have posted in. Like others, I appreciate the work that you do here as it enables the debates and information provision, but that's an aside.
