So apparently the airport project is back on? Our family there in Bocong have said the government is approaching people to buy out their land for the airport project. One of my wife's cousin's is one of these people. They are also stating landing will come from the Dumaguete side and take offs will be toward Dauin. Not quite sure if I should be happy or not. On one hand it would make travel easier, but the entrance to the airport is only a couple kilometers from our house. Noise vs convenience.

The two lanes are certainly not for two lanes of traffic. You can drive most of the way from Bacong to Siaton on four lane highway now, and you won't see one vehicle using the inside lanes.

Well i guess if they do relocate the old airport will be demolished. Not enough traffic to support two and then Ang Tay can develop the land into another 9 holes to give us an 18 hole golf course. Great idea.

We flew out from Sibulan airport on Friday and lots of renovations going on, you have to wonder why if they really intend building a new airport any time soon.
