Went to the newly re-done Mifune resto on Sta. Catalina street, for lunch.. The new owner has done a fantastic job of decorating,training of staff,replacing of cheap seats,tables and dinnerware.. Presentation , size and taste of the dishes were excelent...Now the good part...the price... You would think the with all the reno,the prices would have gone up considerably...but they did not..For 5 of us,appies,main dishes and drinks, it was 1600 pesos.. We were full with even a little 'take home'... Bravo to the new owner who seems to exel in most most his endevors..Miguel
Another opinion. We ate lunch there today. Yes new seating and some minor changes. I am guessing we have eaten there under the old owner about 100 times. We used to go twice a week until the quality and service went down so far. Now, as far as the price, we had a LOT of experience in that area there. Today we had exactly what we have had dozens and dozens of times before. Now today it was P230 "more" than we used to pay. Total bill not counting tip today was P870. So I beg to differ but we are being charged for the "new" things. This is our opinion based on many previous visits under the old owner. I understand the old owner sold out / went out of business, but don't tell me it happened because he didn't charge enough. This is our opinion and perspective. But give it a try and judge for yourself. Have a fantastic day.
Yep! So I: still the same menu and same prices as it was last November & December 2012... Nice semi renovation (especially the CR!). Staff friendly and the food still the same in taste & quality. Hope Naga will return soon from his Japan vacation. Bcz - he is the only thing will be missed in Mifune... ;-)
