Just arrived manila last night and have adjusted sort of OK (manila pollution gives me headache and dizzy spells) Oh I paid 30 dollars for 5 minute cab ride in a 5 dollar cab the driver so happy asked my phone to repeat the offense on me,I paid his request and said I never come again too expensive,My flight to dumaguete leaves manila at 1:30 pm so there's a reason i book only one night in manila,(just to rest enough after the long flight from hawaii so I am fresh in the morning to get out of manila with the vigor of a race horse.

Oh, I brought some video games DVD and sony playstation console and music recording and production console,I declared it at customs as was suggested by customs brochure and when I reached the kiosk for declaration there was noone there so I went to the nothing to declare line and declared confusion about if I need declare the DVD's and electronic pieces,,The nice lady swated at my remark as if I was being silly and crossed out my declaration and checked nothing to declare and wished me on my merry way,I wished I had paid her the 30 dollars for duties rather than that taxi driver crook who even raised his voice to insist I must pay his fraud.

Nothing like an overpriced cab ride to say....."WELCOME BACK TO THE PHILIPPINES!"

    I'm surprised you paid it!

Back in dumaguete now and it is just right,The green plant growth every where is somthing new to me,I left right at the rainy season begin, now I want to make a garden in the back yard.My budget to get here was not used up so I have money left over even after a taxi driver, excess baggage fee was 66%less than i estimated and my AC 220 converter to 120 was cheaper than I budgeted for and my food was cheap in manila so I made it back alright and only thing tapped was my energy and I'm rested up now..No job so sleep when I want to cover the jet lag..Cool you all..

Welcome Tunji, while living in California I was lucky enough to have 12 vacations in Hawaii, it is really the well-manicured beautiful vacation spot on earth. Here, I call it a poor man's Hawaii meaning that you have much of the natural beauty and sorta weather, but maybe not the elegance. Here may not be manicured and tourist setup like Hawaii but I for one could not afford to retire in Hawaii but I think I can here. Mabuhay.

Hey whats up folks, for john boys concern i do have clothes on and will keep them on for respect of others but for my own sentiment I will not wear underwear and if any one makes that their business then invasion of privacy is their problem,Pat so true about Hawaii,I bought into the cheapest farm area I could in the rainiest rainforest as #2 on earth,it was so cheap because of its proximity to the active volcano(the whole Island is actually a volcano but seperate spew holes dot the island,300% toxicity spew now compared to when i moved there first so dumaguete is a fine refuge as smog here is better than the vog there..I'm still young so i will live here a few years and decide what to do about my home in hawaii and if to stay here, the more I live here, the more money i save so I am greatful to be here..Thanks man..
