When I said "you" I was referring to the person who can't figure out the facts from the opinion on the news. It was not directed torwards you or any one person.
To keep it short........MASSIVE number of Koreans would flock here. (mostly the ones that were screaming for peace at all costs and completely against any military spending increases)
I have been told by several Koreans in the Philippines, that many of the young Korean men are draft evaders. Much of the flock is already in the Philippines. Until this is resolved the number's of Korean's will increase. Must be scary to live in a house in Seoul knowing that the North could swallow you up in a matter of hours.
Very much like the Philippines, many Koreans scream foul on US for have a military presence in there country.......that is, until someone attacks them and then they cry for help protecting their country. Would be nice if these countries understood sic vis pacem para bellum and stopped calling on the west to save their asses.
I'll guarantee you..... if North Korea makes any kind of move, it's all over with a button push for them...if not the U S has lost it's 2nd chance to eliminate the crazy's
second chance? Second Chance? I was there during the Pueblo incident in 67, I think. NK captured a US navy surveillance ship, ie, spy ship with over 100 sailors. They kept the ship and the men, killing one of them. They released them about a year later as I remember. Johnson was president and the current regime in Washington is similar in that neither one had/has testicles to do what is needed.
Interesting you should say that, I was just watching CNN-USA and the story included a deal between the USA and NK, under Clinton, where certain levels of nuclear materials were supplied by the USA to NK. I do not understand the technical terms used, but apparently it was stuff that was more difficult to make into nuclear weapons ? Perhaps someone else here can enlighten us to the full facts ? It seems the USA may have contributed to this unsatisfactory position that the world finds itself in now with NK ?
@muddyfeet. The Pueblo Incident happened on 23rd Janury '68. The NK's stripped what they could from the ship, moored it on the river in Pyongyang, and put it on display as an "attraction". As far as I'm aware, it is still in NK's hands, and is the only US ship still in commission which is in the hands of a potential enemy.
