Maybe turn tethering on for the phone and try to connect to that. If that works, then you can go into network settings -> manage known networks ->forget the connection and then re-enter password when it pops back up.- Informative x 2

Something that get forgotten that many laptops have is a switch to turn WLAN on or off. Quite often it's happening that the switch is turned off by accident. To test that you can use tethering on your cellphone and try to connect to the internet that way. If it is not working then refer to the manual how to turn the WLAN on. Some laptop have a hardware switch while other needs a combination of key strokes to activate it.
