Is that not the method described by 'The Dude' above?

Windows 10 WiFi is quite annoying on my laptop. It is very hit and miss and has problems connecting/disconnecting to WiFi at times. It has gotten better over time with Windows updates but still not as good as Linux, Mac or previous Windows versions.

Something that get forgotten that many laptops have is a switch to turn WLAN on or off. Quite often it's happening that the switch is turned off by accident. To test that you can use tethering on your cellphone and try to connect to the internet that way. If it is not working then refer to the manual how to turn the WLAN on. Some laptop have a hardware switch while other needs a combination of key strokes to activate it.

Not wishing to state the obvious, but is the wifi button in the on position. It is the little button to the right of the power button. if it is connected, it should be flashing, if not press the button to the left of the power button. Try using a lan cable to download updated drivers if all else fails.
