She has signed me up twice but when I show up I need to take a number and sit in an arena for 2 to 3 hours. I may go when a person can just show up, give your name (10 seconds) than jab (5 seconds) and again it is sinovac. I would prefer Phyzer or Madrena! If anyone knows where I can walk in and get one of those and complete the process in a minute at max....let me know.

Take a number in the morning and then come back after lunch. It took me about 30 minutes after lunch. The world doesn't revolve around you, there are other people wanting to get vaccinated as well. Half an hour is nothing and you likely have nothing else better to do in your retired lifestyle. Anything other than a Chinese or Russian vaccine should get the job done. You can't even spell the name of the your two preferred vaccines correctly so I doubt it really matters all that much to you. Sounds like an excuse to me.

Pretty much a "wait awhile" press release. It seems like by the time everyone gets the jab the first batches to get it will have zero protection left...and this will start all over again.

Got my Booster (Moderna) for Seniors yesterday after my J&J 1 Dose End of July. Ace Hospital, all done after less then 2 hours. No Fever so far. Just a little pain in arm, shoulder and neck, which is normal.

Here is the official definition of the levels. Your "on the ground" assessment is accurate, as far as I can see.

I need a reminder on what the difference between the alert levels are Life is already pretty normal and I haven't noticed any restrictions with level 4. It all seems pretty pointless at this point.

As I understand from the news, even when allowed, questions remain: only six months after the last (or second) shot?, and hetero veruse homo?, the same or different brand of vaccine.

The doctor as usual bemoaned the fact that people are not complying with the protocols. She said something about the borders, but I did not catch it. The pandemic has eased a bit in this province (currently the worse in Central Visayas), and the Level 4 status may be adjusted downward after November 15.

"Things wane,” says Nicole Doria-Rose, an immunologist at the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in Bethesda, Maryland. But not all things wane equally.

‘Neutralizing’ antibodies that can intercept viruses before they infiltrate cells might not have much staying power. Levels of these molecules typically shoot up after vaccination, then quickly taper off months later. “That’s how vaccines work,” Doria-Rose says.

But cellular immune responses are longer lasting — and as Jennifer Gommerman, an immunologist at the University of Toronto in Canada, explains: “Cellular immunity is what’s going to protect you from disease.” Memory B cells, which can rapidly deploy more antibodies in the event of re-exposure to the virus, tend to stick around, and so do T cells, which can attack already-infected cells. Both provide an added measure of protection should SARS-CoV-2 sneak past the body’s first line of defence.

In one of the only long-term studies to consider these three planks of the immune system simultaneously — antibodies, B cells and T cells — researchers found that vaccination spurred durable cellular immunity. Memory B cells continued to grow in numbers for at least six months, and got better at fighting the virus over time. T-cell counts remained relatively stable, dipping only slightly over the duration of the study period.

“So, you have this reserve,” says John Wherry, an immunologist at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine in Philadelphia, who led the study. “Circulating antibodies may be declining, but your immune system is capable of jumping into action once again.”

It's fine. I you're older, get it earlier than six months. My wife managed to get Moderna through people. I never would pass up Sinovac, but that's me.
