    Hi everyone,

Do you know of anyone or any company who lends / loans money to freelancers? I have my own virtual services job and I need a small amount of money (just around 5k) to add some equipment to my home office. My pay-out is still on the 15th of next month and I need to buy the equipment as soon as possible to fulfill some client requirement.

I hope anybody out there can help. Your response is highly appreciated.

Dumaguete has at least 20 pawnshops, they are all eager to lend you money

Pawnshops are the way to go because you sure can't use virtual customers for collateral.

There's one I know, you can borrow 5k but if you don't pay back right away, after a months interest you'll end up paying 10k, pretty much in a year you'll owe him over 100k and you'll be in debt forever, he is a freelancer too.

Freelance what? I have been a freelance web developer for three years and my only "office" equipment is a laptop, chair, and table. I have never had a real office.

A business isn't your office or equipment. As long as you are getting paid you have all the equipment you need. Make the money first, then buy the equipment.
