I have found that, after being here for a while, ex-pats tend to migrate toward those with like-minded activities and likes. Here you can find those interested in activities such as golf, gym, diving, poker, favorite bars and restaurants, Why Not night life, friends with kids, McDonalds and Sans Rival coffee groups, and others. Probably somewhat like you find in your home country, just a bit different here. Not all that bad here.
Agree. There is a little bit of something for most nationalities and personalities. It can take awhile to find that though. I usually try direct people to the places that I think they would fit in when they ask for advice on where to hang out/what to do.
