Best AnswerI don't know of a local GP but if you don't have an open wound you can try hydrogen peroxide in the ear. Tilt head to one side and apply a few drops to the ear. It will make a funny bubbling sound in your ear for a few minutes but should be painless. Wait until bubbling sound stops and gently clean ear with paper towel or tissue cotton swab. Repeat as necessary. Hydrogen peroxide is available at any pharmacy and many grocery stores. Note: NOT FOR INTERNAL USE (don't swallow etc) As a general rule of thumb don't put anything smaller than your elbow into the ear canal itself.

LOL! 99% hydrogen peroxide is used to launch rockets into space. Will certainly clear your ear out.....right through your head to the other side where it will provide a drain going out the opposite ear. Perhaps the 3% H2O2 from the pharmacy would work.-

I was suffering with wax in one of my ears and searched this forum yesterday for recommendations on where to go to get it removed. I wrote down the names of three doctors at Silliman that were recommended. Dr Simon Flores, Dr Kerwin Gubantes and Dr Rolando Regaldo. I arrived at Silliman Hospital at 11am this morning and found the ticket machine inside the front entrance. Unfortunately my first choice Dr Flores was not available so I printed a ticket for Dr Gubantes my second choice. It was for number 25. I then printed a ticket for Dr Regaldo and it was number 13. I looked up on the board and noticed that Dr Regaldo was currently seeing patient number 12. So I went to his room on the ground floor and showed the ticket to his receptionist. She told me to take a seat and fill in a form. As soon as I had filled in the form the doctor seen me straight away. He was able to remove the wax from both my ears and it was instant relief. I was out of his office by 12pm.
He charged me 1,500 pesos which is about twice the cost of what others on the forum had paid.-

If you go to the Safety Data Sheet for that product it lists hydrogen peroxide as 0.5-2% by weight.
It's just a mild H2O2 and alcohol solution. This is less or equal to what they would use to irrigate a wound:
They also irrigated wounds with 3% H2O2 without diluting it in the study.
Here is what happens when you put pure hydrogen peroxide on cotton:
I mean, it will completely sanitize your house/body...with fire.
You will really have to go out of your way to find any H2O2 solution above 35%....because it is extremely dangerous in the hands of idiots.
What's the topic again?-

I was told not to dilute it with Saline hence why I assumed it was pure. Never read a bottle of it back in '85/'86 when I was pushing it through me, just did as I was taught to do the 3 or 4 times a day I had to do it after my morning dressing changes at the local Hospital. Always assumed the way it foamed up and shot out my leg it was pure.-

Another ENT suggestion. I went today to have my ears syringed. Used Dr Gubantes - Room 222A at the aforementioned Silliman Medical Center. Very nice guy - all the latest equipment and did a thorough job - both ears were badly blocked and took a fair while to suction and clean. 700 pesos. Money well spent. He works on a priority number basis. I got mine when the front desk opened at 7am and was #1. Went back at 9.30 and was done by 10am. No complaints and will use him again.
