just talking about the Sting part of your Adventure. If you had hit a Dog costs would have been similar give or take a few hundred bucks. Still the main thing, You will heal and the Girl was ok. This is a real pity it has turned out that way Wrye83, from your first message, it seemed very positive, but, unfortunately the culture in that family was not as positive as first thought.:( Yes Firefirefly44, this has certainly reminded me to remain much more vigilant on the roads, and to expect anything at anytime from any direction. We are not in our home Countries anymore when on the roads here, and we forget that at our peril. Speed does not really have a lot to do with it, because it is so difficult to speed here anyway, due to the amount of traffic, narrow roads, and less than perfect road surfaces.
Wrye, have you thought that this might be more about your not marrying one of the other daughters? I have often found that it is not the individuals asking for money that are at fault. It is the relatives or neighbors that put them up to it. Some barrio captain will tell them to go ask for more money and they will do what they are told. Guess the important thing is that you and the girl are OK.
