I am planning to visit Dumaguete for a few months or so in September, for diving and just general living. I'm looking for a place to stay on a long term basis. Must have: - internet access in room (wifi or ADSL) - cable TV - less than P 2,000 per day Preferable to have swimming pool too. Any hotels that achieve these criteria? Where are the best locations to stay? I have never been there before, but plan on diving fairly regularly, do a little partying, and hopefully live on the coast and close to town. Any information will be gratefully appreciated.

Place to stay Bethel Hotel. Starts at 1000 a night. Phone in room, therefore internet access on hourly card
I lived near sta monica resort for 7 months, trouble with that resort is there is a rubbish dump at the back of it, and as you can imagine you get a lot of rats running around, madness to have a rubbish dump at the back of a resort, why they don't take it to a landfill away from everything I don't know. also the beach there is not the best. only satelite internet too. bethel would be my choice, close to nightlife and shops, for a few months anyway after that you get sick of even the best hotels, and want your own place.
