Went there today. First, it is a nice area, ample parking. No air-con so it is a little warm but cross breezes and ceiling fans are nice.

We ordered the chicken inasal, baby back ribs and a cheese burger with the potato wedges.

Chicken, flavorful, well cooked but just a tad dry.

Baby back ribs, absolutely delightful. Moist, tender and very flavorful.

Cheese burger. A first for me on a couple of fronts. Burger was bigger than the bun. Plenty of lettuce, tomato and onion. First time I actually had to cut a burger and had to eat it with a fork. Could not get it into the mouth for a full bite. Potato wedges were not oily or greasy.

More than the two of us could eat. Nice for take out. Service was good, staff friendly. I have eaten at the original Lord Byron's (at least I think it is) in Bacolod. They are good, but this is better. Definitely worth a try and a return trip.

Called in there last nite as missus is very fond of ribs. Her verdict - excellent sauce, though they want 50 pesos more for extra sauce. The ribs were ok but unfortunately she's been spoiled by eating at Casa Verde in Cebu (both outlets) and they are simply in another league. Shame CV doesn't open an outlet in Dumaguete!!!

We went to Lord a few nights ago and had a terrible meal. The ribs were small and mostly all fat. The chicken was not very good. We will not be going back.

    I don't know.
Try DAD's Gastro Park, E J. Blanco Dr, Dumaguete.
I have been there twice and the ribs from UNO's Smoke House were much better than Lord Byron's.

Boy did I have a different experience! My wife and I went there for lunch last week, we each ordered a burger, and we ordered two orders of back ribs to take out for dinner. The burgers were huge alright, but raw in the middle and the taste was bad (like the meat was not good), the bun was much smaller than the burger and they were very dried out so that first try to take a bite and they crumbled in your hand leaving a mess. Neither of us finished our burger, just sort of ate around the edges. The take out ribs were wrapped in tinfoil and when we got home and unwrapped them - just gross - just big slabs of slimy fat that was way under cooked and nearly raw. We tried to cut the fat off and find some meat that we could put in a pan and cook but there was almost no meat and what was there was red and raw. On top of all that, the service was awful. I will not go back there again.

I don't think baby back ribs are a fill you up meal like steak for example as more bone than meat.. . but with a good portion of mashed potato and veggies they did the job for me. I guess big eaters might need a different type of meal.... or order two serves lol :omg:

I agree, gabbys ribs are great.

also had good ribs at bamboo bobs last saturday, great band too, one you can listen to and also have a consversation without having to scream at the person sitting next to you.

What a terrible name. My brain reads that as "DAD's Place-Where-Sh*t-Is-Made Park". Why would you use the first part of "Gastrointestinal" for a name where food was being prepared? Do all the meals there come with a free side of cholera?

    There is also this:
    https://www.healthdirect.gov.au/gastroenteritis
"Gastroenteritis, also known as ‘gastro’, is a common illness that can cause vomiting and diarrhoea. Many types of gastro are easily spread. Gastro is not usually serious but it can make you very dehydrated. Milder forms can be managed at home by drinking fluids."

    Dad's Diarrhea Park....yummy, that's where I want to eat!
