I would love a constant electrical source at the correct voltage/amperage at rates competitive with other foreign countries as we are currently the most expensive in Asia. It would mean that our electrical appliances would not die prematurely do to lower than expect electrical voltage/amperage rates. Reasonable cost so industrial type factories could be built and employ people.

Mogo, most of us have, what we were looking for, we, like the Invention, are just trying to improve it, where we can and are allowed.
You will see what we mean when we sit the boulevard and have that beer or two.

I havent been to Dumaguete yet, but will be doing so in four weeks. I am looking forward to seeing the Island.
What I can see is what happens to most places when somewhere becs popular such as where as Dumaguete and Pattaya. As more tourists and expats
frequent. Local come seeking their share of our dollars and it just grows like a festered sore from there.
Also, I doubt whether you as an expat would want Dumaguete to beco,me like the US? left Australia for the same reasons interference in our lives, taxes,
    high cost of livingI
We need to be careful of what we wish for, we just might get it!!!!

You didn't POOH POOH my thoughts on more little/ medium Urban garden type things where people could go sit with a sandwich and things Do you think I got something a little right along those lines. there are quite a few empty lots all around the City that to me are just wasted. In Spain the Government put on Owners, Use it or Loose it warnings to get the Areas cleaned up Every little Helps!

Aside from the obvious suggestions, such as less trikes, enforcement of traffic laws less nose pollution, what do you think would improve your overall quality of life and/or enjoyment in Dumaguete? More businesses, restaurants, parks, shopping, bars?

For me, the answers all revolve around quality nightlife, because that's what I do.....drink. When I get back I want to expand my knowledge of Dumaguete a bit further than where the next drink should be poured, but that's another thread.

I know that we all expect something a little different from where we live so what are your thoughts?
