    Second question on Manila

A suggestion for a place to spend most likely a couple of nights to recover from more than a day of flight and airport travelling and than some time to have a look around at the city center.

for this part of the trip I'll be with other people so I'd need something decent or little more and convenient if possible. not a five star at all but a clean, safe and confortable enought place.

    Thanks

Been using the Crown Regency hotel in Makati lately. It's virtually across the street from about a hundred restaurants - and hundreds of stores - in giant shopping complexes. It's a 3.5 -4 star hotel, nice enough and fairly comfortable - and quiet (make sure to ask for a quiet room away from the street). About $70 -80 a night on expedia.com but you might do a slightly better shopping around...Check them out on tripadvisor.com...Not perfect, but very good value for the price and the location can't be beat.

thanks for the advice, I'll put it in the list to check

just to understand considering most likely we'll just have a look at the intramuros and a quick overview of the city center, where would be the best location for just 1 day around or so?

We stay here and like it. Free breakfast buffet, ,24 hour room service, and free airport shuttle (just to the hotel, but not from). 5 minutes from the Mall of Asia. Reasonably priced, clean, and quiet.

Seems good too, as soon as I have littel more time I should define better where is best to stay as location to have a quick look around the city, any suggestion and comment would be appreciated.

Try Oasis Park Hotel , its budget friendly , near malls , restaurants and must see places in Manila like Fort Santiago (if you want a little historical tour). It has free wifi, airport to hotel and hotel to airport shuttle, staff are accommodating too!
