How long did it take you guys to get the 1 year probation visa 13A? From the first contact in the BI office untill passport stamped?
Do you need to stay in the Philippines for the time this takes?

I've been to busy to do it last year, but since the Phillhealth will be 17k per year starting juli 1 2017 for foreigners even married but without 13A it seems wise to start now. I have to be in Europe like may-june and then later probably september. Was planning to stop my own Philhealth end june, get a balik bayan visa end september so i got one year to process the 13A with no visa extentions needed. Then reregister on my wifes Philhealth after i got the 13A.

But if I am allowed to leave the country i could start now and get the 13A when I get back like juli i guess.

It really all depends on the Requirements asked for and being all there when you apply.
You should really not leave the country during this time as you need to be present for Your Interview & then the Bio taking. Having said this, it depends if you go alone or use an Agency
Just as a note mine took 28 days which was 4 days over my extension date so I had to extend 1 month
they say you need at least 20 days extension on your Passport when applying which would leave you to believe it should take 20 days But....................:banghead: as always YMMV

Lucky; I arrived at 8.30am for my 9.30m Appointment and was seen at around 1.30pm but I think that was mainly due to 3x Filipinos who jumped the queue inside the Office to "have a quick word with the Officer"... :o o:
Things really heated up around 10.30am with the queue growing ever longer, so anyone going there needs to try and get in as early as possible.

Wrye has details and links on Page 01.
But in saying that, following what is posted online and using the Agent, the process varies as to WHAT I read online and started to do, compared to what the Agent did and what we NEEDED to do, confusing to say the least, hence why I would recommend using an Agent... I am SURE I would have failed if I had continued doing the process myself following what is posted online on the Government Web Pages... :o o:

The links opened for me, they are meant to be downloaded, printed out and filled in by hand. At least that is what I did before switching to using an Agent.
