it's just a matter of being at the right place at the right time.

While roaming through Duma I passed Mikes Diveshop and saw a guy taking pictures of the dishes there. No idea why he did it, but it was afternoon and Mike said to me: Rhoody, somebody has to eat it. So Mike, the photographer and me fought ourself through some 10 dishes and can tell that this stuff is without any doubts the closest to Mexican food as it can get in Dumaguete.
The chicken burrittos and nacho's just rock...

shadow, that is the same culinary expert who only eats frozen (and defrosted and that circel daily) dishes from Lee and HM. Remember that from another thread...

but he is not completely wrong the dish in the rightside (back) really looks different... but who wants to see a peace of aluminum..

long live the "grumpy" complainer (just hope not here in Duma)

It is amusing to me the large number of expats who have nothing better to do than complain. Some would complain about having nothing to complain about.

Soon we will have a new and outrageous dish at Mike's, the taco salad.

    To be announced...

... and I thought complaining is illegal unless you wear a helmet while ghosting a business and discover gold on a land with a clean title...

nah, that's getting to complicated for me.. I stick to being happy...

    Mexican Food

I have eaten at Mikes Dive Shop on many occasions and found the food tasty and consistant in it's quality and quantity. Never had a bad dish there and the staff has always been friendly. Can't say the same for some other restaruants. Great to see that they are getting some good press. If Shadow likes it, it's got to be good. He's a Mexican food cooking expert.

LOl. Actually, we have been consulting with Mike on their menu since they first opened. Many of their dishes were inspired by us, and were something we developed for our restaurnt here, the Western Hemisphere, now long closed. Some of the recipes they have changed slightly to accomodate their own needs, and I must say, some of the changes they have made to our original recipes are improvements.

Soon to come at Mike's, the Taco salad, one of our most popular dishes.

    MacDonald's WiFi

Better than food is the WiFi I just discovered at MacDo next to Quezon Park!

We just arrived for a two month stay in the new house in Valencia. I was disappointed that there was no wired internet in Valencia. My daughter in law got a device from Globe that plugs into the laptop but it was extremely slow and already expensive because it took HOURS to get the email. But today at MacDo it was like night and day. THe WiFi is extremely fast and I'm extremely happy!

By the way, we would love to meet Fil-Am couples in this area.
