JUST IN: The National Inter-Agency Task Force (NIATF) has recommended to President Duterte the extension of modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) in Negros Oriental until July 15, 2021. The recommendation was presented to Duterte in his Talk to the Nation tonight, June 28, 2021. An approval or official announcement from Duterte or Malacañang to finalize the said extension is still pending as of this writing. The national IATF also clarified that the extension is also subject to appeals from the local government unit.
I also received an "Adios" from the same member very recently but was reassured when I checked its meaning and found it to be "Adios is the eleventh studio album released by German industrial band KMFDM. The album was originally conceived as the group's parting shot to its longtime record label, Wax Trax! Records, but it ended up also signaling the break-up of KMFDM itself until the band reformed in 2002". I thought it very sweet.
With all that I have read it seems you can still be a carrier and be fully vaccinated ... not to mention "Sinovac efficacy"...
I am still waiting for an opening and move to The Phil's. I have just retired and intended to locate somewhere in the Duma area. As of now I cannot get in to the country even. And I have very little hope something positive in that direction will actually happen this year or even next year. I checked the vaccination rate https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/world/covid-vaccinations-tracker.html and it seems that only 2.5% of the population are fully vaccinated and less than 8% have got their first jab. With this low rate combined with continuos lockdowns I am certain it will take time...long time. A lockdown will only postpone the virus spread and there will be new virus waves as soon as the lockdown ends. What is stopping the government from launching a thorough vaccination plan? Money?
Andrew Marr, a very well known UK journalist and TV new presenter, caught Covid at the recent G7 (which seems to have caused increases in infections generally). He was double vaccinated but I don't know with what. He said he felt awful - but he survived. If he can get an unpleasant symptomatic infection then it would be difficult to think some of those who have been vaccinated with one or two doses are not getting asymptomatic infections. Masks and other cautions seem advisable in the vaccinated for the time being. But there are very strong indications that vaccination is preventing serious illness and death.
I had Covid in April/May 2020. I was really sick, by far the worst decease I ever had. Luckily I had no lung problems but it took months to recover fully anyway. I tested positive for anti-bodies in September same year, tested positive for T-cells in January. Got my first jab (Pfizer) in April and the 2nd in June. I got really sick from the 2nd but only for 24 hours. It seems that people that developed severe symptoms are reacting much harder on the vaccine (either first or second jab), than people that never got infected or had very mild symptoms. The most current debate in north Europe is about giving vaccine to persons that most likely are immune. It has become a political issue rather than a medical, many scientists are now claiming it can be dangerous to do so (even lethal). In Sweden we are closing in to around 40% of the population being fully vaccinated, although no proven cases so far (death by vaccine). My point is, it is much more dangerous to get the decease than being vaccinated. The Corona virus is here to stay, the presence of it has become the new normal. It wont go away until people get immunity either from developing T-cells in their own immune system or getting vaccinated.
My point is that until you achieve a large percentage of vaccinated people it is unwise to allow those who are vaccinated to roam freely from Island to Island without testing.... Sorry you are unable to come here and I would give you my spot if I could (I have filed to take my family back to US) but I am siding with Lockdowns until adequate percentage of vaccinations.... The Phil is not the Phil I came to 6 years ago and may never be again....
