I imagine that soon the government will open the borders to people who have been vaccinated. Today they open up in country inter-zonal travel for people who have been vaccinated. Just show your card. No test required. At the moment the only question is how to confirm that foreigners have been vaccinated. The card is easy to forge. The talk is to open to countries who have high vaccination rates and the individual travelers have their vaccination card.
This is how the EU version of the vaccine pass looks, I just got mine and am allowed to travel within Europe without having to be tested. Although, you need to follow any local rules and guidelines in the individual countries. You can read more about it here https://www.schengenvisainfo.com/news/all-details-on-eu-covid-19-passport-revealed-heres-what-you-need-to-know/
It almost seems to lead a person to believe they are immune and can't pass COVID on after getting vaccinated. Wrong message from our governments, again.
Agreed, but that's why it is important for everyone to get vaccinated. The virus will always be present, the vaccine will protect from serious illness from Covid. Most countries in EU has a vaccination rate of 30-65% of the population and rising fast. The Covid Pass is a step to get the economy/un-employment figures back to where they were before the outbreak. Many countries are depending on tourism.
With your noted enthusiasm, do you foresee places like the Philippines being able to maintain this cycle as the EU, US, Canada, and China will be able to? You're on a forum for the Philippines. Where do you plan to tour?
