LOL............. BOI told me 2 weeks back that if your Married they will at this point allow the Spouse back in if his Wife lives here. >>>Time to tie the knot<<<........ and invite us all.... it will be one heck of a large Wedding. May be the right time to update Yah on the Birds and the Bees. Bees sting and Birds crap on Yah.
Going to the VA clinic in Manila isn’t going to work for me with all the travel restrictions, flights, and the Delta variant surge. Contacted the local barangay health clinic last week..they coordinated with the city health department last Friday and set up an appointment for me to get the Janssen Jab tomorrow at Robinsons. Several weeks ago I did turn down their kind offer of Sinovac.
Completed Janssen inoculation. Blood pressure was 130/80….10 minutes after the jab it dropped to 120/80….30 minutes later BP dropped 110/70. Feel great….this was nothing compared to the 2 jabs of Gamma Globulin in the posterior, when was active duty in the Army. My only concern is how the vaccines being stored…are they being maintained according to J&J instructions. Forgot to mention they wanted to know if i was taking any maintenance medications…told them 80mg aspirin daily.
Probably as well as the 'frozen' foods in most stores. 'Frozen' ... my arse! (It's an inherited condition).
I am thinking that storage is probably ok, even in this part of the world for the Janssen vaccine, since the storage requirements are relatively easy. According to the latest official information: Storage Prior to First Puncture of the Vaccine Vial Store unpunctured multi-dose vials of the Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine at 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F) and protect from light. Do not store frozen. Revised: Jul/08/2021 Unpunctured vials of Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine may be stored between 9°C to 25°C (47°F to 77°F) for up to 12 hours. The Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine is initially stored frozen by the manufacturer, then shipped at 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F). If vaccine is still frozen upon receipt, thaw at 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F). If needed immediately, thaw at room temperature (maximally 25°C/77°F). At room temperature (maximally 25°C/77°F), a carton of 10 vials will take approximately 4 hours to thaw, and an individual vial will take approximately 1 hour to thaw. Do not refreeze once thawed. Storage After First Puncture of the Vaccine Vial After the first dose has been withdrawn, hold the vial between 2° to 8°C (36° to 46°F) for up to 6 hours or at room temperature (maximally 25°C/77°F) for up to 2 hours. Discard the vial if vaccine is not used within these times.
I think you are very optimistic that they are capable of holding vaccines at any given temperatures for set periods of times! If they said: Let them lie around some non-cooled area for a very long time whilst everyone sits in a tent or does some singing and dancing practice, then I think they would manage.
Those are all normal ranges - so you're fine it looks like. I got 2d AZ today and was surprised. First BP was 90/55, second was 95/60. They did it a second time quickly for me - virtually no change. After jab wait at departure, the same. I'm usually 120/70, so I'm puzzled. I have lost weight, but never had borderline low at the top. I feel fine though. I could have a bad memory too. But I was taking lisinopryl (sp?) at one point. Ahh well, I'll just watch it.
Hmm, I'm thinking there's no need for optimism here, because the essential line in the storage instruction reads "Unpunctured vials of Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine may be stored between 9°C to 25°C (47°F to 77°F) for up to 12 hours." That means that a simple styrofoam cooling box suffices at vaccination centers to keep the stuff in good condition long enough.
