    Hello

Best way to fly form Manila to Dumaguete ? Cebu Pacific seems to allow 20Kg 1 piece, but PAL seems to only allow 2 X 10 KG but is also much cheaper (for an Oct 2015 flight)
I shall have over 10KG luggage in 1 bag.
    Any ideas ?

I've found that, although PAL may be a bit cheaper, their website is crap. I could not change a web booking online, but had to call their centre in Manila (from Oman), so I no longer use them.

I run into this quite a bit. I usually try to have a second bag to divide the weight up, as JP mentioned. Several US airliners do this silly nonsense as well....try traveling with tools and body armor.....carry-on not an option. I have had it happen a couple times where the weight could just not be under the limit. (I ask for the manager as soon as I walk up to the counter now. :shifty: "No....I'm not trying to hijack the plain." Note: never exclaim that you are not an idiot and then tell them how you would or would not do it. They have absolutely no sense of humor about that stuff.)

PAL is absolute crap, you cant change amend or add anything without calling

i wanted to change dates for flight from HK to MNL, and before they would I HAD TO PAY philippine travel tax, yes I sent them my passport but it didnt change anything, still had to pay, was told I would get the 1660 pesos back at the airport ( what a load of bollix)

then several times they changed flight times/days because of empty planes.........and im the one who has to shell out

stay far far far away from PAL

After being on this site for a week, Dumaguete has strong appeal for me. I have spoken to my gf about language issues and she now agrees she will be able to converse with little problem??? We are going to book after a North Luzon visit in April, then come to Dumaguete and extend the trip by 7 or 8 days. I know it is not a lot of time, but it will give us some feel of the place. I looked at fights and can get fight with Cebu Pacific for 3000P return from Manila with 20kg each, bargain!
