⌛ Mobile 3G coverage?

    Anyone know anything about the 3G coverage there? What I am looking for is an alternative if my primary internet connection goes down. With 3G I could plug my mobile data access into my computer and hopefully get some sort of broadband connection.

    So my questions are...

    1. Is it available there.

    2. If so, how fast are your download/upload speeds?

    I also noticed the Iphone will be available in the Phils in August. It will be quite expensive but it will be something to think about if Dumaguete has 3G coverage.

    Hi;
    As per SMART website, the average speed of GSM/GPRS of 171 kbps. and 3G is 6x of 171kbps equals an average of 1026kbps. Thanks!

    Actually, the following was pulled from their website...

    However, I was hoping I could get a "boots on the ground" report for speed and stability. :wink:
