Masks may be effective when worn by a virus carrier but as some (possibly very many) are asymptomatic then how does any person know if to wear one? Do you want to be within a public area without a mask and assume that ALL the people around you are NOT infected? Because if you get that wrong just once, then perhaps 'bingo'.
I did explain once that it seems logical to me that the infected, especially if coughing, can force virus particles out through the mask as it sits on the face - so the virus particles are in numbers and expelled with force a short distance to be pushed through the mask. BUT, the person being protected by a mask is receiving particles at low force and spread out (thus reducing the numbers coming at you). Obviously, social distancing helps disperse the virus cloud before it hits you - but without a mask there is no way to stop the particles which might hit you.
The mask also serves to stop the wearer touching the face - can that be disputed? Those who say that some people scratch an itch by putting their hands under the mask or wear an ill-fitting mask are missing the point - these people are wearing a mask, but not properly. So put a bullet proof vest on incorrectly, use a parachute packed incorrectly or use a gun without bullets and you have the same effect - it is not doing what was intended. Is that a reason to stop using a bp vest, parachute or gun where needed? Therefore, your point on touching infected surfaces is valid but how to stop those virus particles going from the surface to your face? Answer = wash your hands and wear a mask. If a mask is not worn then it is guaranteed you will touch your face and transfer virus there. But, people will say "I washed my hands", Really? Every single time you touched anything? So the mask is THE always-on protection, not the hand washing.
Now, about bus timetables ....

You could't buy a mask for love nor money two months ago. Everywhere sold out for weeks as soon as the advice to wear them came out. Agree with the comments though, the mask considerably reduces moisture travel distance, even when just talking.

But this does exclude "Minors, below 21 years of age even if accompanied by an adult .... Senior citizens, pregnant women and immunocompromised customers... "
Says nothing about those with other illnesses.
BUT, in the meantime, if news reports are correct, three regions of the badly-affected Manila area have relaxed rules on selling liquor (for consumption at home) and a person age 75 has flown from Manila to Davao to be with his family.

Been following this virus along and agree with most of the comments, but I do have a question.
We have heard a lot about the 'asymptomatic' people who test positive but show no signs of the infection. That is the question. What is it about those people that allows the virus to rent the premises and not wreck it? Maybe they are being studied, but something is making certain people the exception. Maybe that is the way to go.- Like x 1

It ain't just about the exercise itself. Exercising in the property is soulless. I couldn't motivate myself to do it. A good walk is both exercising and mentally beneficial. Walking has helped got me through some tough times in my life. Don't expect the current bunch of lawmakers to either understand or be bothered in the slightest about this though, as it's not something that can be counted, like a death by viral infection.

am hearing now, they are thinking of shoring up the jeepneys with plastic, seperate little spaces for travellers (from a woman who has a jeepney franchise), if you were to sit down and purposefully come up with ways to stagnate and stifle the economy, the crowd here would better you everytime
come july 1st, what is going to change, we will still be in the mumbo jumbo ECQGCQMEQ WTF
they cant keep all the others stranded in Manila, that place will sink soon enough, and still more to come from overseas and all from hotbeds of infection (those who can stay away are trying to toughen it out as long as they can before waving the flag) this place is going to become one of the worst of the whole region (this is not my country, all those in manila are filipino I AM NOT,) im just a welcome visitor, but seriously thinking about bailing from here for a while, what money they could have borrowed they have borrowed and only made the pigs fatter, the sick sicker and the poor poorer, its going to get a whole lot worse here for a good while to come, bring on the vaccines- Agree x 2
