There is a 200p penalty per month late, so, technically you should be allowed to do it later at a penalty fee. But, I also heard people who claim they lost their residenceship after being late. Half of immigration officers at BoI in Cebu at least hate foreigners. Talk about choosing the wrong job.

If I wanted to make a career out of making life miserable for foreigners, Immigration Officer would be one of my top 5 career choices.

I just renewed my 5 year permanent visa I-Card a couple of weeks ago. The info they capture for that Alien Registration Program is already captured in the visa renewal program so no need for the redundancy. BI figured that out for once.
If you have changed your address or marital status during the 5 year visa period and did not notify BI, you are subject to stiff penalties.

i not sure where i can find out their opening dates for immigration in Jan?

Renewing your ACR card seems like an easy procedure when you read the BI requirements. 1- Present old ACR card, 2- Photocopy a few passport pages, 3- Fill out the renewal form. Its when you go to Manila and spend money for flights, hotels, taxi etc and find out there are other requirements you couldnt have know about. For example as I found out. If you have changed your address you need 1- Affidavid of change of address 2- Barangay letter from Captain that confirms your address. Seems its not enough to agree and abide to have told the truth just on the APPLICATION FORM. No, thats not enough. If you are still with your original wife they also now want a photocopy of your wifes ID with her photo on it. So in my case I couldnt provide that so back to Dumaguete to get these as well.

Why dont they just put a tracking dog collar on me, that way they can know where I am always. I suppose I would still have to get a letter from the Barangay captain to prove the collar is still on my neck and nobody elses me and an affidavid that says the body belongs to me.

I HOPE THAT d*mn BI OFFICE IN ROBINSON HURRIES UP AND OPENS. So tired of going to Cebu or Manila for everything.

Who said you would be able to do that stuff in Dumaguete once the one in Robinson opens up? I would bet it is just them moving everything over from the old office to the new one. No real improvements.

I think you will find that the office in robinsons the new passport office (DFA) and not the bureau of immigration so you will have to still go to Cebu or manila.
