First time I heard of it was this thread.
Wife thinks whoever approved it must be making money out of this just.

I read that the idea was ditched for riders in the same household but they did not cancel it for other riders, thus eliminating criticisms of husbands and wives needing a barrier.

does anyone have the link or links to any wind-tunnel studies which have been performed by any scientific institution or government worldwide that prove these "mandated" rider shields being forced upon us actually reduce breathing air exposure between the driver and rider? i ask because aerodynamic phenomenons often occur in which air is pulled back into a vortex behind an improperly designed wind blocking product... therefore it is quite possible that this rider shield has no scientific evidence that it does what is claimed and is nothing more than a hyped-up unproven piece of garbage being sold by a chinese entrepreneur to a bureaucrat in manila who when mandating their worthless product... gets a big cut of the pie.

Starting tomorrow (August 19, 2020), motorcycle barriers will no longer be required for riders living in the same house in areas under general community quarantine (GCQ).
This is provided that both riders have face masks on and full face helmets while riding. Motorcycles must be privately owned and not for hire.
Riders must also be authorized persons outside of residence (APOR), according to a new mandate from the National Task Force on COVID-19.
Riders who do not live in the same house must still use the approved motorcycle shields.
Local chief executives in areas under MGCQ, such as Negros Oriental, have the discretion to adapt or implement the said guidelines, the NTF said. #NewsBite

I am not sure what is meant by “clutch and away” but I must assume you successfully concluded the matter with authorities before speeding off. Nobody likes this law but IF you are a foreigner, please at least pretend to respect the host’s rules, otherwise you make all of us look bad. Natives themselves don’t like this law either but that is Filipino territory that foreigners don’t get to enter. If you are Filipino, more power to you.

Once again the whole thing is being practices along farcical line. Go out of town to any area or route where there's no checkpoint and you'll see multiple pillion passengers without barriers. Yesterday, four up on one bike. People are just diverting around checkpoints or stopping and unloading pillion before the checkpoint, as I've seen.

Yeah, where did those tire baths go. The ones for 75% of the length of the tire.... I miss those days when the idiocy was at least not dangerous to ride in...
The spraying was already to much for me, will not let myself being sprayed and breath something i have no idea what it is and why they did it.-
