    And having one of the most beautiful boardwalks in Cebu, certainly puts Dumaguete Boulevard to shame.
    Sad how some people can just drive...ride through a city and slam it.

    I don't think it was a dump 10 years ago. The traffic has gotten worse but the quality of life has improved.

    White Man; you speak with forked Tongue, the education system here is not anywhere close to being OK, if fact you are even talking against what you said earlier when you mention the Teachers advice?
    It stands to reason if the people of the Philippines have a low average IQ of 86 the Education system is at fault, Filipinos are not born stupid they are made that way.

    I don't know how long you have been here but the word plan and city planners and city planning approval is totally alien in this country.. If you love to breath the lovely smell of cement dust and clean it up every day depending which way the wind is blowing is your cup of tea go for it.. It is a dump, how many times have i seen idiots on motorcycles get pushed off the road and pile up on the stairs on the pedestrian over pass? More than once..

    Car Car is a sh*t hole IMO.....sorry but I go to Car Car regularly and have friends living there. We also pass through Car Car to get to Cebu city and the traffic is always nuts busy from Car Car to the city.

    I wouldn't live in Cebu in general although the in laws (not out laws) are south of Car Car and some places are nice but I still prefer Duma or Valencia.

    It's a fairly commonly used phrase for the in-laws in UK.

    As far as living in Dumaguete is concerned, I can't compare with anywhere outside of Negros, other than in Manila, which is a place I would never live, but after a year here, I would recommend it to anyone.
