Nationwide PI college grad numbers stats from NSO

I was working for 2 seasons as a sound tech on a big European cruise-line ship. The management decided during that time to switch from east European labor to Filipino labor for 2 simple reasons. (the salary was for both the same)
1st you can stuff 8 instead of 4 or 6 in a crew cabin
2nd they are ok with rice and sauce, while east Europeans want potatoes and meat.
just a money issue, no interest even into the language skills.

I don't see the western world much interested in the special language skills. there are billions asians catching up faster than "you can pick a number and fall in line". That there is a degree needed for going abroad is very clever made up by the big - usually private - educational facilities in this country to make money.



Unskilled labor is what can be exported from here and what creates a lot of money send back to the PI.



Sad that most young people here simply believe what the famous Universities and Colleges tell them about the imortance and the high standard of their education.... just to pull the money out of their already empty pocket.

Silliman even invented a special loan programm together with a local bank, so that students can afford the "high education" so at least big 2 winners in this game. The University gets the money from the bank and the bank gets all from the student and his family... and Banks here know how to get all very good...

The student ? well, still qualifies for a 6 month contract at a callcenter or a shelf - stuffer at Lee Plaza....

having said this,just another more up to date headline:

I know, but using a big outside bank makes more sense, as you push the money issue away from your grounds to a third party

 

Yes, statistics are a beautifull thing, so useful, fascinating, we love numbers and blindly belive in them, look at the ratings for Banks, Governments, statistics, numbers, we completly forgot about our roots in Nature...
