    Haven't there been multiple incidents of them recently ambushing and killing police officers and civilians? I think that the civilian deaths were during their attempt to kill police officers, but still, I'd call that rather violent.

    Negros NPA are still active and making moves into towns in the interior.
    Been told that the town I am in is seeing increased activity.

    Good reason to be as flexible as possible in where one lives and the ability to move at reasonably short notice.
