I can't. The reason I cannot is because the current runway extends out into the sea well beyond the low tide mark and has for many years and has zero problems. An extension of the same is likely to still have zero problems if they simply do the same as they did last time.

I'm wondering what will be finished first? This airport or airport Berlin-Brandenburg which is already 10 years behind the schedule.

From what I can find, the new Dumaguete airport project has not been approved, the latest I can find is an article in the Business Mirror from November 6 that states the airport is included in a list of 7 infrastructure projects "under consideration" for financing through Kexim.
NIA, DPWH need more time to complete 2 infra projects | BusinessMirror-

And as some say there may be a start to the bacong airport in 2019. But as we all know things change pretty quickly here.
The last time they extended the sibulan airport out to sea it sunk and will never go in that direction again and have doubts it will go in the opposite direction also.
It will be interesting to see what happens in November when the amihan winds start to blow and landing is forbidden from the mountain.-

I really don't see the need for a new airport in Dumaguete. It will probably not be an international airport in the near future. Seems like it is more about someone making a whole lot of money by selling or leasing their property.
