    Got relatives that travel there often enough.....Have heard zero about another airport....Seriously needs one though......Current airport is less than ordinary........

    The existing airport is extremely ordinary for a city the size of Dumaguete. It would be quite extraordinary for a city of ~120k to have an airport even twice the size. Two gates, if you want to call them that, are about exactly how many Dumaguete needs. I have never seen that airport fully packed and the lines to check-in have never taken me longer than 15 minutes.

    It is not a hub to other locations and the current demand for tourists is being easily met, IMO. I personally don't see a new airport being needed for another 10 years...but considering how long it generally takes for these things to follow through in the country it is probably best they started planning 5 years ago.
