And then you need 5 hours to get from the airport to the city? Because the traffic seems getting worse and worse.
Today was a b*tch of a day. My lady got to Sibulan port at 11:30 and the fast craft filled fast and left at 11:50, but she could not get a seat on the bus. It was already filled. So she waited in Liloan until 1:10 PM to get a Ceres bus to Cebu and just arrived at 7:10 PM so on a busy Friday that 4 hour trip becomes 6 hours and the wait for a bus gets longer. She could have fixed that by being at the Sibulan port at 11 am to catch the 12 noon ferry. She would have knocked at least an hour off her wait times and her trip. As has been said, take the bus early Sunday morning if ya gotta go.
did not know that, never have gone to city from airport... will be driving to Cebu from Duma so should make that trip on a Sunday ?
I have had good luck driving early Sunday morning (like the first ferry leaves at 4:30 am and if you are driving you can be downtown Cebu by 8:30 in the morning). I have also had good luck taking the 9 am ferry during mid-week. That only seems to take a little longer when driving as the traffic is reasonable en route Cebu. But once in Cebu its the usual mess. I've often thought it would be quick to take the last ferry at night and do a night drive from Liloan to Cebu but I'm worried about a breakdown or running low on gas as there won't be anything open on the highway at night. Anyway, best of luck to you.
Last Friday I took the 09:00 am ferry to Lilo An. Till Carcar it took 2 hours and from Carcar (using the diversion road) till destination via the coastal road (Fuente Osmena in Cebu city) 1,5 hours. Between Carcar and San Fernando there's a road construction. As a result only one lane which causes traffic jams.
Have they sealed the new Car Car diversion road (what we call in UK a by-pass) or is it still just graded sandstone/gravel? It cuts out the madness around the round about and through the town.
So far it is still the same, so when dry rather dusty and when wet I suppose your car will turn into white.
Seriously? You asked the flight attendants about it and were expecting an actual answer on the subject? Had they ever heard of Bacong?
