I have never seen the security tabs on the candy we have bought (not even the Toblerone) only Powdered Milk/ Milo and Toiletries and other more expensive items. In saying that, the boys have always been very quick and efficient with those box cutters, I keep waiting for the blood, but to date they have all proven me wrong! lol

The Wife really wants to go and check out the new Mall, but everything I am reading here, I really think I will like it as much as Lee's in the City (I HATE HATE HATE IT!) :wtf:

Well I hope they never get like the big supermarkets back in Oz where at best they usually have 4 of the dozen or so check outs open to handle the rush hour crowds :banghead: At least here you have all hands on deck, as well as the bag boys to pack for you, then the guy at the door to load your groceries after hailing a tricycle for you, all with a smile!

Dumaguete has a population of 100 thousand, it's no small city. There is a lack of decent food. Casablanca, sometimes Why Not are the only two that are world class or highest standard comparable to the West. The rest are just run by amateurs and people who have gone into the food business because theres no other businesses that can survive here. There is no reason why Dumaguete cant have the diversity of Cebu or Manila especially considering it has so many foreigners and tourists.

Just another store in town adding to the city's traffic problem. Imagine the bottlenecks for traffic now - from St. Paul to PNB crossing. Gosh!!! I hope the development plan of the City Admin pushes through.

the entire mall is "much ado about nothing" just more of the same so far as I can see. No cinema, nothing new, except greater traffic congestion on National Hwy

Don't expect to get a parking spot as there are only enough spaces for the shop keepers. The road congestion around there will be horrendous when it's finally opened. They seem to think all shopping Malls need to be located on the main highway (for visibility), makes no sense to me. There is so much vacant land here if you look.
