Dumaguete is reopening an old dive sanctuary which has been closed for several years. Located In Banilad, Dumaguete. It is named the Banilad Marine Sanctuary. The site is just North of St Monica Resort. Tentative date for opening stands at July 19th, 2014. Entrance fee are scheduled to be p75, however, this may change. Dumaguete city has authorized the Aqua-Landia Dive Resort's Dive team to do several exploratory dives prior to opening. The team is headed up by DM Gibsons Sojor Jr. Initial team dives photographed, Schools of Barracuda and Jacks. Blue Spotted Sting Rays and the beautiful Harlequin Shrimp.
