Aha! MPS French Bakery nearby Octagon Sportsbar! Went there with the wife 2 days ago. Quiche Lorraine was very tasty! Apple pastry was also good! He even had a chicken liver pate that was delicious! Signage for the bakery was a bit difficult to spot, as the canvas folded to make it almost impossible to read.
Being a Hungarian I will definitely visit your bakery, what about some German sausages??? It's also delicious...
the german bakery in Valencia made up a sugar free banana bread with dates and mango for us last week and it was absolutely delicious with a great texture
went to the german bakery again today and they are selling home made smooth peanut butter, took a bottle home today as well as a long baguette multigrain and had the peanut butter on the bread and both were great
Hallo from a Filipina oma! I found this new and small bakeshop cum snack bar called Ludwig's German Bread located along Jose Romero Road in Barangay Bagacay, Dumaguete. It's between a Cebuano Lhuiller pawnshop and a 7-Eleven store, just after Mandaue Foam building and far across Lee Plaza Hypermart. Open daily 6AM~10PM, except Sundays 9AM-6pm, the snack bar serves hot or cold drinks, salads, sandwiches, sausages, and pasta. The bakeshop sells various healthy grain breads and Italian pizza to take out, and these are usually sellouts. Last week, there were Mother's Apple Cake, Apple Pie, Blueberry Cheese Cake, and Strawberry-Pineapple Cake - no sugary icings and could be baked with half the sugar in the recipe for sweetness is just right, just like how my German daughter-in-law bakes her cakes. This week, there are Christmas loaves of Dresdner Stollen, Marzipan Stollen, and Quark Stollen. To inquire or to order, call +63 35 422-6168. Cheers!
assuming your post is abut a new branch of the ludwigs in valencia which this thread was started about. we have bought there bread numberrous times, its usually frozen, but lately its frozen and so dried out is only good for making toast.
I just happened to stumble upon the place after visiting the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) office, Wednesday of last week.
Well, I have had experience in setting up a 99% foreign-owned local business but this is not one of them. T'was almost 5PM when I left the PSA premises and, having gone thirsty while waiting for a pedicab to bring me back to Barangay Buñao, I was proceeding to the 7-Eleven store when the signage Ludwig's German Bread caught my eye; thus I ended up sampling the latter's menu. Nope, my German daughter-in-law is not involved in this venture -- she, my son, and their young schooling kids are in Deutschland. I'm simply a satisfied customer happy to share info -- is all! :-)
