Maybe mooncafe with two O's wasnt available as a domain or biz name? Ya there coffee is pretty good as I have recently discovered. The service could be better, but it is above the average Dgte restaurant service imho
Simply adding another "o" in the name would not be acceptable in the Western world. You would likely get a sued for likeness rights. Not so sure how it works here. I was impressed with the flavor of their ribs and the beef straginov (spelling?) but one came out luke warm and the other was cold. Service has been appalling all of the 8 or so times I have been there, minus the one I went to in Cebu. That was likely because we had a table right next to where the waiters stand at the entrance. I didn't have a dedicated waiter though, just tapped whoever was closest.
I have been to moooooooon cafe (Rob Mall) several times with other expats, found their food very good, there service was very good also, maybe some of you guys need to smile to the waitress & waiters once in a while. So far I am impressed.
I like Cimbali Coffee in the Supermarket area of Lee Plaza. Its just P28/cup. The aroma of freshly baked bread and coffee is just wonderful. Their tables and stools are not as comfortable as i wanted them to but hey, i went there for their coffee
I did not know that Mooon's Cafe has a branch at Robinsons, I guess it must be outside in the back, will check it out Wednesday...
I would recommend going to the one at the back of Robinsons over the one near the boulevard. It's a smaller area with less places for the waiters to hide.
I tried both and yes i prefer the one at the back of Robinsons mall because its more cozy for me. The waiters are probably hiding caus sometimes foreign men's accent is too much they can't understand it and it makes them look stupid if they have to ask to repeat what was said just my thought!!
