Welcome aboard this D.I. chat board. Hope you will enjoy your stay here. Was wondering what is it that has you interested in Dumaguete? Would you be from or in North Africa say may be Algeria? This curious mind was just wondering because of your handle.

    Sorted!

:D:D ok, I get it now, phew, glad we got to the bottom of all this. I am sure you will have a good time here, I see that you have had some information about inexpensive lodgings so I guess you are looking forward to your stay here in our fair city? When are you arriving if I may ask?

    Family!

Yes my friend, I know how you feel, I too work away some times and it is a little hard to come to terms with. I also feel sometimes the need to have a break from it all. When it comes to what to do here in Dgte, it all depends on what your Likes and Dislike are. You will find plenty to do I am sure. Over the next week or so I am sure other members will have comments for you. As to food, well maybe I am not the Best person to advise, we don't go out to eat that much and if and when we do, it is usually Filipino food we enjoy. PatO and Rhoody will have more to say than I about food. All I will say, is that Casablanca on the Boulevard is 1st Class. When you have found your way there (and I know you will) you will find plenty of eateries and you will be spoilt for choice. Whilst I am not a frequenter of it, Why-Not bar seems to be a favorite, although just of late we have had some adverse comments, I can't say much on this as I don't know. There are some bars with good and indifferent music so just try it and see. I do hope you have a good time whatever you do.

    hi JP,

thank you so much on your inputs. it helps a lot. i will just walk around the beautiful city dumaguete soon. i really miss pinoy foods and i am after on it. asid from family, that is what i am missing also. there's no such place like home as they said.

to add, i feel a friendly community here. thank you DI for warm welcome.
