Hi, I hope someone here can help us out.
My wife, daughter and I want to leave the pollution here in Cebu (health reasons) and move to Negros Oriental.
Our daughter and I both have allergies and the daughter, 3 year old Marci has been in the hospital a lot for lung infections due to the high pollution/colds and allergies in combination with each other.
We have looked online for rentals, but most are listed at around P20,000 per month plus.
Real estate agents are no help so far either, they want to rent to those willing to spend their money in a big way and that just isn't my lifestyle.
I know the best deals are not advertised, so I was hoping someone there could help us find a 2-3 bedroom with 1-2 bathrooms for P15,000 or under, preferrably near the ocean if possible.
The place could be anywhere within 20-40 minutes driving time to Silliman Hospital and not necessarily in Dumaguete proper.
Thank you in advance for any info or advice you can give me on this.
I am Brucewayne O'Dell, my wife is Nida and our 3 year old daughter is Marci (for those who care to know).

Bruce, my old house I rented before I moved to my new house is still available. It is 5 min from Robinson's Mall and 15 min. to Silliman, 1/2 kilometer from the ocean. It is a small 2 br 2 bath with a nice secure lot. I paid 9,000 but not sure what the landlord will charge now that I added 2 aircons and a hot water heater. You can text her at 09154551242, if interested.

Welcome Brucewayne, I just had to ask, do you have a friend named Dick Grayson? LOL

I'd second the recommendation of PatO's former rental, it was quite decent.

Also, my Son has problems with allergies. We live in Valencia, a little bit of altitude brings the cooler and cleaner air and this helps him a lot.

Mister wayne I know its you Batman ,,Its OK I've always been a fan,I think its OK you are Gothams biggest billionaire and yet choose to live a modest way and not spend all your money:smile: I know you may need a bat cave when you arrive,I would be honoured to ride with you to Mabinay to scope out the caves there and maybe one will be suitable for your new bat cave seceret operation ;your hero work here wont be as hard as Gotham because too many gentle people here ...Just know i wish you luck and family health in your move and I'm still a fan if you choose to deny to me who you are or even let me meet you because you still help every body be safe and happy...PS I like spider man too but you are more mature person to me:D..............................

I read somewhere that there were less expensive places outside of Dumaguete alongside a river.
Also, I hear that the river has catfish in it.
Maybe someone could enlighten me on this or any other similar area.
Pat, the small house you lived in, just how small is it?
I need room for all of our daughter's toys (she's spoiled) and my computer shop has to fit in somewhere too.
I forgot to mention that I am an Elec. Tech and specialize in PC's as a hobby now, but used to work for IBM years ago.

BW, the house was only about 60 sq mtr, I put my small desk and computer in the living room. The kitchen area has room on the side for a dining table and chairs. The outside porch is nice and room for a table and chairs. My maid lived in the 2nd br and we used it for storage. I had a canopy car port made but took it with me. You can buy a gazebo to put in the yard if you like, I did.

Sounds nice enough, but maybe a bit too small.
I am going to compile a list for when we visit so we can look at more than one.
We intend to stay in a hotel and hopefully will have enough leads to at least get us into the right area, size and price range.

I have taken the number down, sounds nice.
It may be gone by March, but here some homes stand empty for years, so I will take the chance.
Thanks guys, this is a much friendlier and more helpful forum than the ones Yahoo puts out.

BW, you never filled in the About You section. Where are you from, U.S.?
