Did that already for two years now with the pajero. Very convenient indeed.

Same situation, different day. Bought bike from same dealer, but now stating 5 months for registration!

I asked at LTO and she suggested I have dealer issue conduction number...

I could tell, she had more to say, but wouldn't. I'm sure if we were in a non job related venue, she would have revealed more...

Best just ignore them and ride the bike, the dealers can issue a letter when buying for the period until registration is issued if they want to.

I have such a letter, but no temporary number yet. I asked at Du Ek Sam if I can ride to Cebu on that. They said sure, but best to avoid stop checks because they are strict in Cebu.

I just ride without a plate as registration will take 3-4 months apparently ‍♂️

I’m in a small town so the PNP aren’t as strict as they would be in Dumaguete or other larger towns.

You just get the usual “avoid checkpoints” from the dealer when buying the bike.

I get the logic - if I rob a bank then I don't stop if a heavily armed security guard 2m from me tells me to. Will let you know how it goes.
