Interesting, but then anyone who has been here for a while knows that the only thing consistent is inconsistency. Maybe ***** the ****** needed to pay his Globe bill that day.

June 22, 2010 I flew in on a ONEWAY ticket. I have never been ask for an out-bond ticket, more than 2 years now.

Nope. This thread is about the need to have, or not have, an outbound ticket when extending a visa.

The tourist visa and the length of it is in a different thread.

    Sorry Broadside,
for missunderstanding that 11, 16 or 24 months have something to do with a length of stay and visa extensions, my bad. will sign up for a course in a university which can explain me what "month" stands for, if not related to dates and periods of time. Will come back after finding out!

that tourists need a ticket to leave the country again is really old "news". I was asked once when checking in at KL. never at the airport immigration or any extension. As it is the law here, I would think they have all rights asking for it, diba ?

If 30 dollar is a lot of money for a ticket for the original poster, he might want to consider the price he will pay for being married here (or anywhere in the world of course).

    I wish I had a 30$ outbound ticket from my 2 marriages ... :(
