Yesterday going into Dumaquete from the airport they were putting up a very large sign that said something about No Smoking i did not get a chance to read it but seems like they are serious about this...
This whole "smoking ban" law really gets under my skin!! I am not a smoker, and am thrilled when I see places enforcing smoking bans, BUT, COME ON!!! This person sitting next to me smoking a ciagrette is not emitting any more toxins into the air I breathe than my back door neighbor burning his trash, full of plastics, diapers, and who knows what else!! Billows of smoke, literally, so thick you cannot see or breathe!! When will our government officials see that trash burning is a MUCH bigger health hazard (and driving hazard) than John Doe having his after dinner smoke??!! (Off my soapbox.....)
I agree, with the exception of when that person sitting next to you is an inconsiderate @ss and knowingly or unknowingly blowing his smoke in your face (or allows it to drift in your face). At that point it becomes nearly as bad as the neighbor's trash pile. Nothing can ruin my appetite and day quicker than an inconsiderate smoker. Larry
