Comments on YT were 99% positive; including many from those that have been riding a long time. You're just too young to appreciate the concept?

I'm almost 68yo, dealing with kidney failure and its' assorted tag along maladies.. When my hemoglobin is low I'm not quite strong enough to pilot my 750 Honda V Twin-but when the hemoglobin is up I'm out on it or my XR200

Better to wear out than rust out

What's with the snide remark SS welfare ? Are you saying anyone drawing SS is a welfare recipient ? That would be about 80% of your forum members.

By all means, every elderly person should be on a motorcycle. It will solve all their problems. :meh: I was merely pointing out the absurdity of the ad. The worst thing elderly people could do would be to go out and ride motorcycles. It will only lead to a much quicker death. Impaired vision, slowed reaction times, restricted body movement, minds that aren't nearly as sharp as they once were, brittle bones/bodies...it is an absolutely horrible idea to hop on a motorcycle, especially in Asia, with all the physical and mental impairments that come with old age.

It's a great appeal to nostalgia advertisement, but those old men have no business being on motorcycles.

It is a socialist welfare check and they are entitled to if they paid into it. Would be nice if younger generations could opt out of it and move to a single payer system so that we might have some money for our own retirements instead of being left with a program/country in massive debt. But that's a bit off topic.

I can't remember meeting you but you described me to a tee, so we obviously have met. I guess you forgot to mention memory loss......... or did you?

Too bad you can't opt out but us Seniors can outvote you, LOL. I thank you for your support. Now I can buy a new motorcycle with my SS to replace the VN1500 FI that I sold in CA when I came here. Happy Motoring Sorry to go off topic

I wasn't talking about every single elderly person and certainly wasn't making a personal attack against you.

Yeah, and the elderly voted in someone who is cutting all their benefits so....thanks?

That was my strange sense of humor being demonstrated. It is almost impossible to insult me due to a baptism of fire over my many years on this earth. I am not ancient but am old enough so that I don't buy green bananas. The last funeral I attended at a funeral parlor, after I told the funeral director my age, he said, "You might as well stay here." Second apology for off topic reply.

No, this one certainly was my fault. I was trying to be funny in my original reply....it was obviously in poor taste. My apologies to everyone for that.

I'm 67 and just recently sold my 1500cc Yamaha Royal Star Tour Deluxe in prep for my move to Dgt. What a beautiful bike that was and such a pleasure to ride. Now, I don't see the possibility of buying anything in Dgt that is over 150cc (except for Kymco and I've heard they are not that good). Well, guess I will just have to pick up a little Mio and try to get used to it.

I and my employers paid into U.S. S.S. for 51 years. ( almost twice as long as you have even been alive) And you call me collecting my S.S. a welfare recipient ! I don't give a d*mn if I am off topic or not. You go off topic on your political rants all the time.
