Okay mate; I assumed (yep I know what happens when you 'assume') that Mindanao would have had a (much) smaller combined population compared to the Visayas and consumption would be less the further south you went with the majority heading northwards for a better life. I guessed any metropolis such as Luzon would contain the greater concentration of people in the nation so would be the highest users.

Thanks for that list, very informative!

I think we should aslo Remember that the damaged Equipment under repair is the same Equipment that would Normally supply Negros so the Figures are lower than should be, bearing this in mind I still say that we are not doing Too bad in all this

Are there many suppliers spread across the Philippines? I think I once read something about Hydro Power in Luzon, I also read a little about the Thermo Power I think around Valencia, are there many suppliers that produce and supply to the main sellers or are there larger providers here also?

You know I am not sure just who gets that power from Valencia, there was talk that we got Non, Davy L will know more about that I feel. There are Plenty of Generating Plants all over the PI but in the main it goes to the Grid for Distribution, This Leyte thing has caught someone with theirs trousers down I feel and we will not hear the full Story as to why we are not Drawing Power from other places as we are giving it back to the worst affected Plant. On this the Mind Boggles I am afraid, No one here at Noreco II seems to know so I am just Drawing Information where I can in the Hope it will help

Oddly enough, me a Westerner can manage with fans and not air-con but my wife and her daughter (both Filipino) need to use air-con.

I HATE it when the Wife/ Daughter/ some Rellies get anywhere near an Air-con as I end up reminded of WHY I hated living in SE QLD back in Oz! When you begin to shiver it is TOO COLD! :coldfeet: But try and tell them that, as apparently; COLD makes you turn to 'White skin'... :roflmao: lololol

That false logic seems to be based on a lack of enough sunlight in cold climates equating to reduced melanin and so lighter skin colour. But as the air-con is used INDOORS it is irrelevant to skin colour; except, of course, if they always stay indoors to enjoy air-con then they will lighten - at the same time the electric bill becomes heavier.

I don't see a rice cooker on there. Bet that sucks a lot of power in the Philippines. I've never met a Filipino that knows how to cook rice without it. They always look at me like I'm crazy when I asked why they don't cook it in a pot.

Hey, but the rice cooker is in there twice, 1 liter and 1.8 liters, alphabetically (nice chart, downloaded it). And we've had one for 20 yrs, 3 cups, right water, perfect every time, automatic in about 1/2 hour. Sold the 110v in the US, bought a 220 here. After 15 min, throw in a bowl of 5-min stir-fry fresh veggies and poifec... And i (honky) cook rice just as well as my fil-am partner.

One entry on the chart is absurd, who runs a hot shower 8 hours a day ???? What am i missing??

We should get noreco to spread this around more, start a real conservation program.
