    Hello Everyone,

I am a resident of Sibulan Proper.. This is just my observation of the poor services of NORECO.. It seems that there is no plan for the upgrade of their services like payment center, stable voltage supply, putting up back-up power in-case of problems well, do i need to say everything??? I'm calling the attention of the Board of Directors and the Chair itself of this cooperative..what have you been doing all these years?

As what i know, we have geothermal plant in Valencia which generates huge supply of power, that is more than enough to supply the entire island of Negros. For how many years, we have experiencing brownouts, blackouts. and low voltage until now, Noreco is still in the stage of planning on how to upgrade their substations. Please NORECO, be PRO-ACTIVE and not be RE-ACTIVE.

Paging all concerned Government Agencies especially our Congressmen..please look into these problems. How can we promote Negros Oriental to be a tourist destination and investment target location if we have poor electric system.

We us members of the cooperative, are helpless in paying our over price electric bills and if we cannot pay on time they will easily cut our connection without consideration. Remember, we the consumers are the one paying NORECO's Officers and employees salaries..and we demand good service!

    More Power Supply in Dumaguete......

    great thread alimokoy,

we hope that daughters and sons of NORECO 2 employees will be reading here,

    but let me share my 1centimo;
even though the electricity in valencia is more than enough for the people of negros oriental,ANPOCOR even export it to neighboring provice and islands(OCC, Panay, CEBU), the fault lies on the buyer of the electricity, at thats NORECO, even if NAPOCOR/PNOC will distribute NORECO with Millions of volts for them to use, but its capability to carry lies only to a few thousand, then what good are the millions volts. its the relay station or sub station that can no longer handle the distribution, so needed is and upgrade and installation of new substations.

but the problem lies on the board of directors, manager, and politicians. we know they have the solution to fix the problem, its just the proper timing on a proper contractor to properly give good commission on those above people. they tend to wait till the problem gets worse so that the project or budget becomes big, so that they have big commission.

not a good thing to hear earl, i hope this is not the trade-off living in busy manila and paying cheaper bills, and living in a nice amlan with higher bills.

i cant wait to see the next month what they can do to solve this crisis

    Thanks guys!

This is already a very serious problem in our province if NORECO will not ACT on this as soon as possible coz there are so many investors and on going construction of business establishments in Dumaguete…so if they will not improve their services some of the investors will surely BACK OFF! NORECO should put in mind that good infrastructure, includes electricity supply, telecommunications, roads etc., will lure investors to invest in the province and more job opportunities for the locals.

NORECO should always anticipate the growth of their consumers’ needs and as a basic service provider they have to act now before it’s too late. When was the last time NORECO had upgraded their infrastructure?

I encourage everyone to post their comments and suggestions to NORECO and this is a good venue for us to present our sentiments and be heard.

    STOP the POWER CRISIS!

    hmpfffff

    nice one,

So, what kind of upgrades are you trying to suggest ALIMOKOY?

actually, you are right. . . it's not just in sibulan that is experiencing these problems... but i guess it's happening all over oriental. yes, we are experiencing black-outs, brown-outs.. etc... and it's getting worst. Especially now that there is a typhoon... when there is strong winds, i already expect that brown-out is going to follow. . . and you know what really sucks? they always say "there is going to be a black-out this coming sunday from 8am to 5pm" hello? it's sunday... it's our time to relax, and enjoy... how can we do this when there is no electricity????
